GolfWaypoint is designed to work without an account. This notice describes the initial, ad-free release.

Shortlist storage

When you save a course, its record ID is stored in localStorage on this device under golfwaypoint-shortlist-v1. This supports the shortlist feature you requested. Use Clear shortlist to remove it. A blocked storage setting may prevent saving between visits.

Planning inputs

Playing dates, time-zone choices and budget values are calculated in the current page. They are not sent to a planning or AI service and are not saved by us. Downloaded plans remain files on your own device. Do not include sensitive information in round labels.

Normal website requests

The hosting provider, Cloudflare, necessarily processes connection data such as IP addresses, request URLs, timestamps and browser headers to deliver and protect the site. Search terms are included in the explorer URL, so do not put private information in a course search. We do not operate an advertising profile or account database in this release.

External maps and links

An OpenStreetMap embed is loaded only after you select Show OpenStreetMap. That connects your browser to the map provider, which receives connection data. External course links, email links and data-source links leave this site and are subject to their own policies.

Contact messages

Email you send is processed to answer the enquiry or assess a correction. Retention depends on the purpose and any necessary legal obligations; we do not promise a fixed deletion time that our mail systems have not implemented. Requests about your information can be sent to legal@golfwaypoint.com.

Advertising

No AdSense advertising or behavioural analytics scripts are intentionally loaded by this initial application release. If advertising is introduced, this notice and applicable consent controls must be updated before it is enabled.

Hosting analytics

Cloudflare Web Analytics may measure page views and page performance through a hosting-injected beacon. Cloudflare states that this beacon does not use cookies, localStorage or browser fingerprinting for analytics, and does not track individuals across websites. This is separate from the shortlist you explicitly save in this browser.

The hosting configuration requests Cloudflare's European-region exclusion. Coverage follows Cloudflare's network-region rules, not the location of a device. Necessary hosting request processing still takes place. The beacon does not receive the trip-budget fields you enter in the planner.
